An existing registered customer will have already had a Consultation and supervised visits with us, and can now avail of our court reports and letters. You can request and purchase online.
FAQs for the
Childs’ Resident Parent / Guardian
We provide a professional and friendly service to meet the needs of families and individuals involved in proceedings at the Family Court.
We are a Child Contact Centre that provides visits between children and their non-resident parent or family member. These visits are fully supervised.
The prices are:
• Consultation €100
• Visits €60 per hour
• Court report €100
• Court letter €25
The resident parent or guardian is the person that lives with the child or children.
New customers must first register with the service via the registration form on the website. Once registered, and when there is availability for your supervised visits, you will be contacted for a consultation.
The wait time for a consultation is on average 4-7 weeks.
We recommend that both parties register independently for a swifter service.

If only one of the parents/party registers to use the service it will result in a delay in organising a consultation and subsequent supervised visits.

Once you submit your registration form:
- You will receive a confirmation message with information on the screen.
- This will also be emailed to you.
- Once there is availability in the service, you will be contacted for a consultation.
- Once both parties are happy to move forward at this point, visits will begin to be scheduled after this consultation.
- The consultation cost is €100
We aim to contact everyone 4-7 weeks after we have received the registration or as soon as a space becomes available.
Consultations are an opportunity for staff at Togher Contact Centre to understand your needs. Consultations take place over the phone.
- We ask about the child(ren) and who will be attending
- We also ask questions relating to any safety concerns
- We learn more about the situations that lead to supervised visitation
- We ask about criminal history
- We ask about child protection involvement
- We ask about medical information for anyone attending
We tell you about:
- The terms and conditions of supervised visits
- We explain that each party involved in the supervised visits has a separate consultation with us, usually by phone.
- We let you know that the total cost of a consultation is €100 and that the fee is paid by one party or split between two
- We explain that the fee must be paid in full before a consultation can take place
Consultation: A consultation costs €100 and this must be paid in advance.
Visits: Visits cost €60 and must be paid 48 hours in advance.
Visits are paid in advance, either by one parent or split between two parents.
The payment breakdown is dependent on the decision of the court/ legal agreements.
Optional services that can be purchased are court letters or court reports. Either party can order and pay for these.
No documentation is needed by the centre for visits to take place.
However, if there is a court report available and can be shared with us it can be helpful to support the success of your visits.
- When a space becomes available, you will be contacted.
- You will be offered the available time slot
- If this slot works for you, we will move and contact the other party/parties involved
- If the slot is suitable for both we will move forward with the booking
- If this slot does not suit you or is not suitable to the other party you will be returned to the waiting list
- You will be offered the next slot that is available
- We will continue to contact you and offer you slots as they become available
- Once you have accepted a slot, we will offer you a telephone consultation
- Once this consultation is complete you will receive an email confirming your visit time and date.
Offers of appointments are noted for court letter and reports.
No. All visits are confirmed via email with a payment link.
Court letter and reports can be ordered on the website.
Once the visit is organised, an email will be sent with confirmation of the time and date of the visit
A payment link will be attached.
This link should be used to pay in full, a minimum of 48 hours prior to the planned visit.
No cash is accepted.
If full payment is not made by the party responsible for payment 48 hours in advance, then the visit will be cancelled.
Another visit will not be offered until the missed payment is received as per the policy on appointment offer.

There is no refund for cancelled visits.
A full refund will be given if Togher Contact Centre cancels a visit due to a problem within TCC e.g., Staff illness.
The visit supervisor maintains a non-judgmental and supportive attitude.
They assist with coordination of the Child Contact Service.
They offer advice on how to manage difficult situations that may occur during a visit.
This may include practical advice and support to help you and your child/ren to feel more comfortable and relaxed during your visit.
The supervisor is present at all times throughout the visit (in an adjoining room) and will observe and document interactions between parent and child.
The supervisor is your main point of contact regarding the visits and can offer support or advice around any issues or concerns you may have.
The supervisor will terminate or intervene at any point, if it is in the best interest of the child(ren).
Yes. All staff are qualified and are Garda Vetted.
You will need to arrive at the correct time to attend your visit.
Arriving at the correct time is a very important part of child contact and supports your child to feel comfortable and safe.
A Supervisor will meet you at the gate and greet you.
The supervisor will bring the child from the gate to the contact centre and the visit will begin.
You can collect your child from their visit at the time agreed.
Again, collecting your child at the correct time is a very important part of helping your child to feel comfortable and safe.
Your child’s safety is our priority.
We have video recording in place, sound monitoring and safety alarms.
Your child will be supervised throughout the visit.
The centre is child friendly and provides a range of toys and games to make your child comfortable.
No. We have designed drop off and pick up in such a way that both parties should not meet.
It is imperative you do not drop your child early and that you leave the premises as the visit ends to ensure there is no crossover.
If your child becomes upset the trained staff will encourage them and support them to continue the visit.
If they become distressed and want the visit to end, we will contact you.
Gifts are permitted at birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions.

Gifts are not permitted at other times.
This visit is for the non-resident parent only.
Video chats/phone calls with other relatives or friends are permitted if this is agreed by both parties in advance of the visit.
If video chats/phone calls have not been agreed they will be stopped by the supervisor.
Yes, it is possible to bring relatives and siblings to a visit.
This must be agreed in advance by both parties.
If both parties are not in agreement that these relative visits cannot take place.
A relative/sibling visit must be discussed with the supervisor, a week in advance.
No. Supervised visits at TCC are to take place only on the premises for health and safety reasons.
Sometimes solicitors or a Judge may wish for confirmation from Togher Contact Centre of your record of communications and interactions with Togher Contact Centre.
A court letter is a brief letter outlining this information.
To ensure these are ready for you when you need them, the letters must be ordered and paid for 1 week in advance.
To pay for a letter please log on to www.toghercontactcentre.ie and follow the instructions.
Court reports cost €25
Either you or the non-resident parent can order one of these letters.
A court report is a summary and evaluation of supervised visits.
Included are details of your visit plan, details of attendance, observations of visit, any concerns and recommendations.
Reports can only be purchased after a minimum of 6 visits.
To ensure a report is ready when you need it, reports need to be ordered and paid for 2 weeks in advance.

This is very important to ensure that your visit can take place
We are very strict about this point to ensure safety and wellbeing for you and your child.
If you do not arrive at the correct time (10 minutes before the visit time) your visit will be cancelled and you will be charged.
Once you arrive, you will be greeted at the gate and shown into the building.
Your child will arrive at the stated time.

While this may be disappointing children take time to settle into a routine of visits and it can take some patience at the beginning of a visit schedule.

Our Two Locations
